Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she has covering everything from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the advent and growth in space travel. Kristin is mother of NASA astronauts as well as an avid space fan, grew up immersed in the field. She spent five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations. In this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus in addition to two distinct administrations' efforts. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter before becoming a reporter for CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate clients like Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. She and her husband reside and their two children in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
